Information, advice and welfare benefits service

Age UK Lambeth has a dedicated team providing free, confidential and independent information and advice on issues of concern for older people over 55 years of age. This  includes help with pensions, health and housing issues.

The team also offer a full benefits service that can help you to make sure that you are claiming all the benefits that you are entitled to. Our team will also help you with completing forms and writing letters.

Our advisors are also there to listen when you need to talk through your problems or make an important decision.

We operate four Advice Surgeries at three locations. Just drop in at the one that is most convenient to you. We do not operate an appointments system. Surgeries can get pretty busy so you may have to wait a while to see an advisor. The times are the same each week apart from bank holidays and over the Christmas break when the surgeries are closed.

Free drop-in advice surgeries are held in fully accessible locations in Brixton, Kennington and Streatham. For more information about times and places please give us a call on 020 7733 0528.

We also offer a telephone advice service for family members of Lambeth residents. Give us a call or send an email and someone will get back to you as soon they can. But please be patient, it may take three or four working days as our advisors do most of their work outside the office.

If you are housebound then we can arrange for an advisor to visit you at home. Again, contact the team using the contact details below. A member of the team will get back to you, ask some questions and then make an appointment to come see you.

Please do NOT call in to our office unless you have a confirmed appointment with an advisor. It is very likely that there will be no one in who can see you and your trip will have been wasted.
